A woman has given birth to quintuplets who are now under observation in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at a local hospital in Faisalabad, 24NewsHD reported on Thursday.
The babies, comprising two boys and three girls, were delivered by the woman and transferred to intensive care due to being underweight and experiencing breathing difficulties, as reported by medical personnel.
The mother of the quintuplets is said to be in stable condition. Doctors and paramedics have extended their congratulations to the family on the birth of the quintuplets.
In a similar incident last year at Khidmat Khalq Foundation hospital in Hyderabad, a woman delivered sextuplets, with five being stillborn and one receiving treatment in the nursery. Rekha, a resident of Umerkot City, gave birth to three boys and three girls.
All the infants were born prematurely, necessitating a cesarean section due to medical complications. However, the mother’s condition was reported to be out of danger by the hospital management.
