ISLAMABAD: A meeting of senior leaders who were expelled from JUI is underway in the federal capital.
Maulana Sherani Maulana, Gul Naseeb Khan, Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk, and others are present in the meeting. Hafiz Hussain Ahmed could not reach the meeting. As per sources, the meeting will discuss the lineup and strategy against JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman. JUI leaders will announce the decisions in a press conference at 6 pm.
The basic membership of Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Maulana Gul Naseeb, and Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk was terminated. The four leaders were expelled from the party for violating party discipline.
Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, a senior leader of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and former chairman of the Islamic Ideological Council, had called Maulana Fazlur Rehman selected.

Maulana Sherani also said that he would set up party offices in all districts of Balochistan in consultation with his colleagues. Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami from Mardan, had supported Maulana Sherani.
There are reports that after being expelled from the party, JUI leaders made contacts across the country and summoned leaders who disagreed with Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s policies to Islamabad.
