ATTOCK: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday performed the ground-breaking for state-of-the-art maternal and child hospital in Attock district.
The Punjab government will complete the 200-bed hospital at a cost of Rs5.3 billion in two years. Half of the project cost of Rs 2.66 billion has been disbursed by the federal government to the provincial government.
In a separate meeting with PTI leadership from Attock District, Prime Minister Imran Khan said the government will soon launch health cards in entire Punjab province to provide quality healthcare to poor families.
He said thirty percent subsidy will be provided to the needy on flour, pulses and ghee under Ehsaas Subsidy Programme. he said interest-free loans will be provided to two million families under Kamyab Pakistan Programme. These loans will be issued for construction of houses, small businesses, and agriculture to small farmers.
He said the government is fully cognizant of the impact of inflation on the poor, and it is bearing the burden of 450 billion rupees to lessen the impact of inflation on the poor.
PM Imran Khan said the government successfully dealt with the Covid-19 challenge, which was appreciated at the world level. He directed the local party leadership to be proactive in welfare of people.
