BUNER: At least eight people died when a marble mine collapsed in the Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.
According to initials reports, several people were also injured in the incident. More deaths are feared many miners are still buried under rubble.
DPO Sohail Khalid said eight bodies were pulled out the rubble, adding that more deaths are feared many miners are still buried under the debris.
Soon after the incident, the rescue operation, which included the helping hands of the local people, is underway to recover the people.
The injured along with the bodies have been shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Buner for autopsies and treatment respectively.
Locals are believed that seven to eight laborers are still stuck under the debris. Rescue operations are underway to pull them out safely.
