ECNEC approves revised project for Construction of Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway

ISLAMABAD: Executive Committee of the National Economic Council has approved revised project for the Construction of Hyderabad -Sukkur Motorway on Built Operate Transfer basis at a cost of over 191 billion rupees.

The Council granted the approval at a meeting in Islamabad today (Wednesday) chaired by Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin.            

The project to be executed by National Highway Authority envisages construction of 306 Km long, 06  lane wide, divided fenced between Hyderabad and Sukkur.

ECNEC also approved the projects of Land Acquisition for Lai Expressway and Flood Channel Rawalpindi and    Construction of Rawalpindi Ring Road with the condition to acquire the concurrence of the Planning Commission and inclusion of Axel load management in the project.                

ECNEC also approved the revised Southern Punjab Poverty Alleviation Project.
