Dr. Saifur Rehman appointed as new administrator Karachi

People’s Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) have agreed to appoint Dr. Saifur Rehman, a government official,  as the new administrator of Karachi.

According to the details, during the meeting of the Chief Minister of Sindh, there was a negotiation between MQM and the People’s Party for the new administrator of Karachi to replace Murtaza Wahab, it was decided that Dr. Saifur Rehman will be the new administrator of Karachi.

It should be noted that earlier Murtaza Wahab was appointed as Administrator Karachi on August 5, 2021, he announced to leave of the post of Administrator Karachi on September 26, 2022, and complained of not being allowed to work.

Later, the news came out that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah did not accept Murtaza Wahab’s resignation and instructed him to continue working, but today the name of the new administrator in Karachi has been announced.

Dr. Saifur Rehman is currently serving as the Principal Secretary to the Governor of Sindh and has also served as the MC of the Municipal Commissioner. Dr. Saifur Rehman, who has vast experience of working in administrative positions, has also served as the Secretary of Health Balochistan apart from DC Central District.
