YouTube has deleted the channel of well-known Pakistani data scientist, author, and computer science scholar Zeeshan-ul-Hassan Usmani with more than 3 million subscribers.
Usmani has authored several books on technology, politics, and international affairs, and his content mainly revolves around personal and spiritual growth and emerging technologies.
YouTube claimed that the content of Zeeshanul Hasan Usmani’s channel was ‘harmful and dangerous’ and was against their safety guidelines and hence deleted the channel. According to YouTube, the removal of the channel also raises concerns about censorship and content moderation policies.
The reason for the action by YouTube is not clear but Zeeshanul Hasan Usmani suspects that YouTube may have taken this action because of Anant Ambani’s pre-marriage upload.

In his X message, Zeeshanul Hasan Usmani said that my YouTube channel has been permanently removed by YouTube for posting content deemed ‘harmful and dangerous’.
Alhamdulillah I mainly share videos related to personal and spiritual growth as well as emerging technologies. I’m not sure why my content has been blocked as “harmful and dangerous”.
He said that the last video I uploaded discussed Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding and compared it to poverty in India. I think this video is why YouTube has taken action.
