The HUM Style Awards 2021, which took place on 4th July in Lahore, recently aired on Hum TV this weekend.
Despite being a night of glitz and glamour featuring all-stars together in one, the 5th edition of the HUM Style Awards 2021 still managed to disappoint the viewers.
The Hum Style Awards had their hit-and-miss moments but let’s just agree Pakistanis were more disappointed this year than ever before.
From worst costume to ‘not so energetic’ performance of Ali Zafar and Alizey Shah, every strange moment was witnessed on awards night.. except for entertainment. Here are the listed worst moments from the HUM Style Awards 2021.

‘Not so energetic’ performance
In teasers, the performance Ali Zafar and Alizeh Shah gave on stage in the name of dance was indeed a dance or not. But it can be officially declared that the ‘not so energetic’ performance of both celebrities was not worth it.
Firstly, there was no coordination between the two stars. Secondly, the energy level of both was two poles apart. The energy level of Ali Zafar was literally 10/10 and on other hand, Alizey, looked as if she was still rehearsing. But even in her rehearsing classes, she did better than actually performing on the stage.
Fault in our stars’ costumes
The never-ending debate on celebrities’ style statements is still going on. Usually, the background dancers’ clothes are considered uninspiring. But this year’s award night, we saw our celebrities who left no stone unturned to look dull and ordinary.
Don’t get me started on Aima Baig’s costume; her drab, ill-fitted clothes were so captivating in a weird way that her performance went unnoticed. Even her performance too was humdrum with her just simply boring.
Lack of information
Ali Zafar and Urwa Hocane, the host of the evening seemed to be forcing humour into their scripts. Well, learning from Nida Yasir’s mistake won’t be shameful. ‘Doing your homework’ should be a mandatory element in the showbiz industry now.
Announcing a category without having any knowledge behind it, Hocane and Zafar’s involvement in the show remains questionable altogether.
Not a promotional event
The award night also featured surprise moments including the unveiling of the theatrical poster of Dum Mastam starring Amar Khan and Imran Ashraf. Actors please! if you want to promote a movie, go to a promotional event, not to awards show.
