SIALKOT: A mother killed her daughter in the name of honor in Punjab.
According to the police, the incident took place in the limits of Moradpur police station where the mother killed her daughter in the name of honor for getting married of her choice. The police arrested the accused and started an investigation.
The victim was already married, and the family had registered a case of kidnapping after she left home for the marriage of her choice. Police said the victim’s family members were enraged over her false statement in court, as a result of which the mother killed her daughter in a fit of rage.
After registering a case and arresting the accused, the police started the investigation after collecting the preliminary evidence. It should be remembered that a few days ago in Punjab, a mother and daughter were killed in the name of ‘honour’.
The decapitated bodies of two women, a mother and a daughter, were allegedly found in Zahir Peer town of Rahim Yar Khan district in South Punjab. Sources claimed that both were killed in the name of honour. Police said that they have started investigating the case while the accused is still absconding.
