KARACHI: Government of Pakistan has decided to give honourary citizenship and highest civil award to Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi captain, Darren Sami on March 23.
Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi owner revealed that they have sought Pakistani nationality for Darren Sammy and his application is lying with President Arif Alvi.
During a meeting with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani, he said that they wanted honorary citizenship for Darren Sammy and an application in this regard is also lying pending before the president.
According to a statement by the PCB, President Pakistan will honour Darren Sammy for the country’s honourable citizenship on March 23 for his invaluable contribution to cricket in Pakistan.
