PESHAWAR: At least four terrorists were killed in encounter with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and police near Nowshera.
According to details, Counter Terrorism Department Mardan Region and local police conducted an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Jaroba area in the outskirt of Nowshera during which terrorists opened fire.
The law enforcement agencies personnel returned the fire as a result four terrorist were killed. According to CTD spokesperson, the dead terrorists were identified as Latif Khan Ayubi, Muhammad Shahzaib alias Huzaifa, Muhammad Adil alias Umair alias Ans and Zahid Ullah alias Abbas.

The spokesperson further said that dead terrorists belonged to banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and were also involved target killing and attacks on security forces and police.
The CTD personnel also recovered arms and explosive material from them. Further investigation into the matter was underway by the CTD.
