ISLAMABAD: A special court will announce the reserved verdict of former president Pervez Musharraf in the high treason case on 28th November.
A three-member bench including the chief justice of the Peshawar High Court and the head of the special court, Justice Waqar Seth, heard the case against the former president.

During the hearing, the court remarked that Pervez Musharraf’s lawyer could submit their written arguments regarding the case until 26th November.
During the last hearing of the case, the government had sacked the entire prosecution team in the treason case against the former president.

On October 24, the court was informed that the government had sacked the entire prosecution team engaged by the previous PML-N government to prosecute the high treason case against Musharraf.

General Musharraf was booked in a treason case in December 2013. He was indicted on 31st March 2014 in the case of suspending the Constitution by proclamation of emergency on 3rd November 2007. He left for Dubai in 2016 to seek medical treatment and hasn’t returned since.
