ISLAMABAD: The federal government has suspended four trains between Quetta-Taftan to prevent coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed announced the closure of the railway track following the breakout of coronavirus in Iran. The minister suspended four trains playing between the Quetta and Taftan for an indefinite time period.
Sheikh Rasheed had asked passengers to cancel their all luggage bookings. The decision came after the closure of the Pakistan-Iran border due to the coronavirus disease.
A notice issued from the health department had ordered all the passengers entering Pakistan that they will be required to submit a health declaration form, which will include their contact details and brief travel history.
Pakistan has closed its Taftan border with Iran temporarily in consideration of coronavirus deaths in the neighbouring country.
Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove has confirmed the news and said that the border has been closed in light of coronavirus deaths in Iran.
Assistant Commissioner of Taftan Najeebullah Qambrani said that the screening has been started of those pilgrims staying at Pakistan House.
The coronavirus outbreak has claimed the at least fifteen lives in Iran and almost 95 cases have been confirmed in the country.
