Coronavirus death toll hits 850,800 worldwide

WASHINGTON: The number of people infected with the coronavirus pandemic has risen to 25,406,603, with 850,878 fatalities and 17,716,970 recoveries.

The United States ranks first among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 6,173,000 people infected and 1,87,225 deaths. The number of corona patients in Brazil has risen to more than 3,862,000 and the total number of deaths has reached 120,896.

India ranks third among the countries affected by Corona, with more than 3.624 million people affected and a total of 64,646 deaths. Russia is the fourth most affected country by the Coronavirus, with 990,326 people infected and 17,093 deaths.

In Peru, more than 647,000 people were affected and 28,788 lost their lives. The death toll from Corona in South Africa has risen to 14,028, with more than 625,000 people affected. More than 595,000 people have been affected in Mexico, with 64,158 deaths.

So far, 1,77,6,814 people have recovered worldwide and the number of active cases worldwide is currently 6,827,115.

The first 5 million cases of the coronavirus were reported in 185 days while the last 5 million cases were reported in just 18 days. The first case of coronavirus was reported on 17th November last year, and on 6th March, the number of cases worldwide exceeded one million.
