ISLAMABAD: The global epidemic coronavirus has claimed 60 lives in Pakistan, bringing the total death toll to 8,547.
According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 2,963 more cases of coronavirus have been reported, bringing the total number of victims to 426,142.
In Pakistan, 372,271 coronavirus patients have recovered and 45,324 are undergoing treatment. The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 3,242 people lost their lives while 3,081 in Sindh, 1,429 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 345 in Islamabad, 98 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 170 in Balochistan, and In Azad Kashmir, 182 people have lost their lives.
The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 33,420, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 50,506, in Sindh 187,684, in Punjab 124,804, in Balochistan 17,540, in Azad Kashmir 7,427 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4. A total of 761 people have been infected with the coronavirus. Nationwide, the number of positive cases of coronavirus rose to 7.9 percent. Karachi coronavirus positive case rate is 17.39 percent.

According to the NCOC, the rate of positive cases in Hyderabad was 18.43 percent. Azad Kashmir has 10.83 percent, Balochistan 11.62 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2.68 percent, Islamabad 6.16 percent, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 11.29 percent, and Sindh 11.47 percent.
According to the NCOC, the rate of positive cases in Punjab is 4.42. The rate of positive cases in Lahore was 5.47 percent and in Rawalpindi, it was 11.26 percent. The rate of positive cases in Peshawar was 16.2, in Quetta 6.19, and in Mirpur 22 percent.
