Coronavirus claims 59 more lives in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The coronavirus has infected another 1,497 people in Pakistan, bringing the total number of infected people to 490,476.

According to the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 59 more deaths have been reported from coronavirus in the last 24 hours across the country, bringing the death toll to 10,409. In Pakistan, 444,360 coronavirus patients have recovered and 35,707 are undergoing treatment.

The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 4,160 people lost their lives while 3,623 in Sindh, 1,683 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 428 in Islamabad, 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 185 in Balochistan, and 229 in Azad Kashmir. People have lost their lives.

The number of coronavirus cases in Islamabad is 38,395, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 59,729, in Sindh 219,452, in Punjab 141,393, in Balochistan 18,254, in Azad Kashmir 8,383 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 4,870 people have been affected by Corona. ۔

The National Institutes of Health has confirmed a new strain of coronavirus in Pakistan. According to the National Institutes of Health, a new strain of coronavirus was found in two Pakistanis. Both returned home from the UK.

Punjab Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid has said that four suspicious patients of the new type of coronavirus are from Lahore. All four have been tested and sent to NIH.

He said that Pakistani researchers have also joined hands to prevent a new type of coronavirus. Researchers have been tasked with researching a new type of virus.

According to the National Command and Operations Center, the rate of coronavirus positive cases across the country has risen to 5.92 percent. The coronavirus positive case rate in Karachi is higher at 13.84 percent.

Hyderabad has 8.79 percent, Swat 7.89, Azad Jammu and Kashmir 2.14, Balochistan 4.95, Islamabad 3.98, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 5.87, Punjab 4.44, and Sindh 8.40 percent positive cases.
