Confirmed coronavirus cases in Pakistan surge past 18,800

KARACHI: The confirmed cases of coronavirus in Pakistan have reached 1975 as new cases have been reported in several areas across the country.
According to the provided details from provincial health departments, almost 26 people have died from coronavirus and at least 58 people have been recovered.
In this regard, Balochistan reported several new cases that bumped up the provincial tally to 158. Earlier today, the provincial spokesperson had confirmed that 17 patients had recovered from COVID-19.
Sindh Health Department reported new coronavirus cases and once again took the lead with 676 cases.
So far, the provincial health department reported that 274 people had tested positive for coronavirus in Karachi, 128 in Hyderabad, one in Dadu, one in Jacobabad.
Simultaneously, the Punjab health department reported 6 new cases of coronavirus in the province, bringing the provincial tally to 676, while 9 deaths have been reported in the province so far.
