ISLAMABAD: The district administration sealed the red zone and placed containers at the entrances after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced a protest against the Election Commission today.
According to the details, protesters or any unrelated person will not be allowed to enter the red zone, while Anti-Rights Force, Rangers, FC, and Police will be deployed in the red zone. Sources claimed that only Margalla Road will remain open to enter the red zone.
On the other hand, on the protest call of Tehreek-e-Insaf, Election Commissioner Sindh sent an emergency letter to IG Sindh and asked for security.
It should be noted that while giving an interview to a private TV channel yesterday, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that Election Commission is not bringing forward the funding of PML-N and the People’s Party, we will go to the Supreme Judicial Commission against the Election Commissioner, he said.
He added, “We will protest peacefully in front of the Election Commission, we will not go to Redzone, the Election Commissioner has insulted us by calling us foreign funded.”
