MMA star Conor McGregor has announced his return to combat sports, revealing on social media that he has “agreed” to an exhibition boxing match with YouTube personality and former WWE champion Logan Paul.
McGregor, who hasn’t fought in the UFC since suffering a broken leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier in 2021, stated that he would delay his return to the Octagon until after his boxing match with Paul. Logan Paul is the brother of Jake Paul, a fellow boxer and YouTuber who fought former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson to a draw last month in a highly publicized bout.
While McGregor didn’t disclose a date for his match with Logan Paul, he did confirm that it would take place in India.
In the last eight years, McGregor has won just one MMA fight and has a 0-1 record in boxing, having lost to Floyd Mayweather by TKO in 2017.
Logan Paul, who won the WWE United States Championship in late 2023 but later announced his retirement from wrestling, fought Mayweather to a draw in an exhibition match in 2021.
