The Karachi Basketball Association has officially announced trials to select the city’s women’s basketball team for the upcoming National Women’s Basketball Championship. The trials are scheduled to take place tomorrow, Wednesday, at the LOB Basketball Court in Karachi.
The trials are open to all interested female players, and participants are required to bring a valid CNIC or school/university ID for registration. The selected team will represent Karachi in the National Women’s Basketball Championship, which is set to take place in Lahore from December 26-30, 2024.
The prestigious event will feature eight top-tier teams, including defending champions WAPDA, Army, Islamabad Blue, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore, KPK, and Islamabad White. The championship is organized by WAPDA under the supervision of the Pakistan Basketball Federation (PBBF).
After the trials, the Karachi women’s basketball team will begin their preparations for the championship, with the team scheduled to depart for Lahore on December 24, 2024. Female basketball players in Karachi are encouraged to take this opportunity to showcase their talent at a national level.
