Get ready for the much-awaited return of Virgin River as Netflix drops Season 6 on December 19th. This season centers on the lead-up to Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack’s (Martin Henderson) wedding, featuring all the milestones leading up to their big day.
According to Netflix, showrunner Patrick Sean Smith promises a season full of wedding planning, bachelor and bachelorette parties, dress shopping, suit fittings, and unexpected twists.
“It’s time for the wedding season,” says Smith. “We’ve been building toward it, and it felt like the perfect event to focus on.” Despite the challenges, Mel and Jack’s love story will take center stage as they plan their future together. Smith describes the production as “very Virgin River,” reflecting the team’s dedication to delivering a season fans will love.
In addition to the wedding, Season 6 will explore Mel and Jack’s journey toward parenthood, with the couple also transforming Lilly’s (Lynda Boyd) farm into their dream home. Following the Christmas-themed finale of Season 5, Season 6 picks up a few months later, bringing fresh surprises and growth for the residents of Virgin River as the season moves deeper into spring.
