LAHORE: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has visited Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore and lauded the valour and sacrifices of the force for defending the country.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the Army Chief laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha.
While addressing participants of 49th Naval Staff Course and faculty members, General Qamar appreciated the valour and sacrifices of the force, adding that Naval War College is a prestigious institution of Pakistan Navy.

Qamar Javed Bajwa further said, “In the college officers of Pakistan armed forces and friendly countries are trained for the assumption of key Command and Staff appointments”.
He commended that Pakistan Navy with a proud history of valour and sacrifices “as the formidable force has always come up to the expectations of the nation in defending the maritime frontiers of the motherland”.

During the address, the army chief also focused on the geostrategic environment, security challenges and opportunities for Pakistan. Gen Bajwa said that spirit of sacrifice and patriotism makes a force formidable in the face of any adversity.
Training and teamwork are the hallmark of every soldier, confronted with multifarious challenges in diverse terrain, one has to be in the best physical and mental fitness for a robust and prompt response, COAS emphasised.
Meanwhile, Rear Admiral Muhammad Zubair Shafique, Commandant Pakistan Navy War College, received the chief of army staff (COAS) upon his arrival. Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan, Commander Lahore Corps, was also present at the occasion, said the official statement.
During address, COAS also focused on geostrategic environment, security challenges & opportunities for Pakistan.
