LAHORE: The Sports Board Punjab (SBP) has announced the holding of the CM Punjab Champion League, saying international and national cricketers will take part in the event.
An important meeting in this regard was held in Lahore under the chairmanship of DG Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, during which plans for the tournament were finalized.
Speaking on this occasion, DG Sports Punjab Tariq Qureshi said the league would be organized in collaboration with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Pakistan Railways and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), adding that the tournament is scheduled to be held in mid-July.
He said that players—both girls and boys—from all divisions of Punjab will also participate in the CM Punjab Champion League.
The DG Sports Punjab further stated that the competition will feature international and national players, with 12-mile and 4-mile teams taking part.
The final of the CM Punjab League will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Commissioner Inland Revenue Behzad Anwar, Vice President Pakistan Railways Sports Board Ahmed Nazir and other officials will attend the meeting.
