LAHORE: Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has introduced the ‘Insaaf Medicine Card’ under the Punjab Sehat Sahulat program to facilitate poor patients across the province.
On the occasion, the CM said that ensuring free health-related facilities to the people is the government’s first priority. “We will continue to take strategies to provide the best medical assistance to the nation,” he pledged.
He said that Insaaf Medicine Card would be provided to facilitate patients of various diseases, including AIDS, hepatitis and tuberculosis, under the Punjab Sehat Sahulat program as per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
CM Buzdar the three diseases were needed long-term treatment and very expensive which was difficult for the common man to afford. The government was working on several projects transparently to facilitate people of the province without any discrimination, he added.
He said that currently the second wave of COVID-19 was a challenge and the government and health officials not only creating awareness among the masses but also collecting proper data of the cases so that the patients could provide the best treatment and the rest of the citizens could be protected.
The chief minister urged citizens to follow all precautionary steps especially wear masks, use sanitizers, wash their hands and avoid public gatherings.
