CHINIOT: In a bizarre incident, police have registered a case against a four-month-old boy over violation of the sound system act in Chiniot.

According to reports, an event was held few days back in Nathar area of Chiniot where a religious party has organized a gathering and several religious scholars delivered speeches on loudspeakers.

The police refused to strike off the infant’s name from the FIR when they were told about his age. The child’s father on Wednesday along with the infant submitted papers in the court for interim bail. However, he was told by the magistrate that there was no need to secure bail for the infant.

Police spokesman said DPO Bilal Zafar Shaikh has taken notice of the incident and appointed SP Investigation to probe the mater. A report has been sought from security branch to take action against those responsible for filing the case.
