Cardi B is set to perform at the NBA Finals halftime show hosted at Madison Square Garden in New York City, according to an official announcement.
The 33-year-old New York City native will take the stage during one of the most-watched events in global sports, where the hometown New York Knicks will face the San Antonio Spurs.
The NBA Finals halftime show has increasingly become a major entertainment platform, featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry, and this year’s edition continues that trend with Cardi B as the headline act.
She wrote, ‘Came right on time for Gotham City,’ in a post showing a black Ferrari pulling up to a secured building.
Organizers say the show will feature a high-energy setlist combining some of her biggest chart-topping hits, along with a specially designed stage production tailored for the Finals audience at Madison Square Garden.
Monday’s game, which is expected to be attended by Donald Trump, will be the first NBA Finals matchup at the iconic venue in 26 years, dating back to when the New York Knicks fell 3–1 to the San Antonio Spurs, who were led at the time by NBA legend Tim Duncan.
The NBA Finals halftime performance is expected to draw millions of viewers worldwide, adding an extra entertainment highlight to an already high-stakes championship series.
