ISLAMABAD: The British Council has approved the resumption of Cambridge exams in Pakistan from Monday, following a temporary cancellation due to safety concerns.
The decision was made after reviewing the current situation in the country and ensuring the safety of students, parents, and staff.
The exams will be held in all shifts as usual, and the results will be prepared based on the marks obtained in all exams except those canceled.
It may be recalled that the British Council had canceled the exams, scheduled for May 11 and May 12, after a wave of violent protests erupted across Pakistan over the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
The Punjab Higher Education Department (PHED) had also announced the closure of all public sector colleges, universities, and educational institutions until Friday, May 12, considering the current security situation in the province.
The resumption of exams will bring relief to thousands of students who were left uncertain about their academic future.
