American actor Giancarlo Esposito, better known for his character Gus Fring in the hit television series Breaking Bad, has reportedly embraced Islam during a visit to Saudi Arabia.
According to General Entertainment Authority Chairman Turki Al-Sheikh, Esposito recited the Shahada, the Islamic declaration of faith, and participated in prayers at a mosque alongside members of a production team while filming in the Kingdom.
The veteran actor has built a distinguished career spanning several decades and is internationally recognized for his roles in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian, and numerous other film and television productions. His portrayal of Gus Fring earned widespread critical acclaim and several award nominations.

According to Al-Sheikh, Esposito’s decision followed a positive experience in Saudi Arabia, where he interacted closely with members of the Muslim community during his work on a local production.
He added that the actor spoke highly of the hospitality and sense of community he encountered during his stay in the Kingdom.
A video circulating on social media appeared to show Esposito praying alongside members of the production crew inside a mosque, drawing attention from fans and followers online.
