LAHORE: In Raiwind City’s Mission Colony area, tragedy struck as a 12-year-old boy ended his own life on Thursday. Reports suggest the incident stemmed from his mother’s refusal to grant him a cell phone.
The boy, identified as Ayan, had asked his mother for a cell phone, only to be denied. His mother briefly left for a neighbor’s house, and upon her return, she found her son hanging.
In Sandah police area, another distressing event unfolded as a man fatally stabbed his 25-year-old nephew over a domestic dispute on the same day. The victim, Umar, lost his life, while the assailant fled the scene. Authorities intervened, transporting the body to the mortuary.
Adding to the string of tragic incidents, last week in Lahore’s Mughalpura, a female doctor purportedly took her own life following a heated argument with her mother.
The deceased, identified as 33-year-old Bushra Suhail, engaged in a verbal altercation with her mother on March 27 before locking herself in her room. Later that evening, her sister, Rabia, made the grim discovery of Bushra’s lifeless body hanging from a ceiling fan.
