A senior leadership delegation from Binance, one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has arrived in Pakistan on an official visit.
The delegation includes Binance’s Global CEO, Richard Teng, along with other senior executives. The team spent its first day in Islamabad, where it held a series of high-level meetings.
According to officials, the Binance delegation met Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the Chief of Defence Forces, and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir.
Discussions focused on digital finance, innovation and regulatory frameworks.
Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority (PVARA), Bilal bin Saqib, also attended the meeting. He briefed the participants on his authority’s progress and ongoing initiatives.
“We shared updates on the regulatory landscape and the steps being taken to strengthen Pakistan’s virtual asset ecosystem,” he said.
More engagements between the Binance delegation and Pakistani authorities are expected during the visit.
