Bilawal Zardari may not attend JUI-F’s Azadi March

MITHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that he would not attend Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F)’s anti-government Azadi March.

While giving an interview to a private channel, the PPP Chairman said, “I will not participate in Azadi March but if there is any injustice reported I will be there with the protestors.”

Regarding the anti-government march, he said that PPP has the same position ever since the March was announced.

He said, “Our leaders will stand by Maulana and welcome him on various spots.”

The PPP Chairman said that he would always support democracy in the country.

Earlier while addressing a press conference in Tharparkar on Thursday, he said that there was a huge difference between an elected and selected government.

Bilawal said, “Selected are concerned about status quo and elites while PPP has always worked on grass-root issues.” 

Referring to the recent elections in PS 11, he said, “That was not an election but selection. It was the defeat of democracy and not PPP.”

The chairperson claimed that there were breaches and rigging in the PS-11 elections.
