Bilawal demands Asif Zardari’s bail on medical grounds

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday said that the party will submit bail plea for former president Asif Ali Zardari on medical grounds.
Taking to media outside Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on Monday, he said that the medical board constituted by the government has pointed out diseases of Asif Zardari.
However, the former president had not allowed them to file petition seeking his bail on medical grounds.

The PPP chairman said that Zardari has heeded to the request of his sister Asifa Bhutto to move court for his bail and now they will file a petition.
Bilawal went on to say that his party won’t back away from its ideology, adding that a rally would be held in Liaquat Bagh on December 27 to observe the anniversary of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto.
Bilawal Bhutto said that the PPP will not retreat from its political point of view and file a petition until tomorrow.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, while commenting on Army Chief General Qamar Bajwa’s extension in tenure, said that first there will be a new prime minister and then there will be any amendment in the Constitution.

Earlier today, Bilawal Bhutto met with his father who is currently under treatment at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
Bilawal remarked on the meeting that a number of things related to the country’s political situation came under discussion.
“Our Foundation Day rally was very successful and Kashmiris showed full participation in it.
We have decided to observe the death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto at Liaqaut Bagh on Dec 27,” he said.
Earlier this month, an accountability court earlier dismissed a plea seeking permission to move former president Zardari to Karachi for medical treatment.
