KARACHI: Banks and financial institutions across Pakistan will remain closed for three consecutive days from August 14 to 16, with normal banking operations set to resume on Monday, August 17.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, Friday, August 14, will be observed as a public holiday on the occasion of Independence Day, while banks will remain closed on August 15 and 16 due to the regular Saturday and Sunday weekly holidays. The State Bank of Pakistan and the stock exchange will also remain closed during the period.
Despite the three-day closure, customers will continue to have access to essential banking services. ATMs and online banking platforms will remain operational, allowing customers to transfer funds and carry out other financial transactions through digital banking channels.
Banks and financial institutions will resume their regular operations on Monday, August 17, following the three-day holiday period.
