The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced on Monday, the bank timings for the holy month of Ramadan.
According to a circular issued by the Banking Policy & Regulations Department of the central bank, in the holy month of Ramazan, banks, development financial institutions, and microfinance banks will operate from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm with a prayer break from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
However, public dealing hours will be from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm without any break from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays, office hours and public dealing timing will be observed from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm without any break.
After the month of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, the above timings will automatically revert to pre-Ramadan timings, the central bank added.
It should be noted that all banks will remain closed for public dealing on the first of Ramadan for the deduction of Zakat.
