RAWALPINDI: Police have not yet registered a case against the accused involved in attacking the protestors during a demonstration outside the press club in Rawalpindi.
Earlier on Thursday, at least eight protesters were wounded during the demonstration against Blue World Housing Society over the non-allotment of plots.
According to details, the younger brother of Blue World Housing Society owner Chaudhry Nadeem Ijaz allegedly attacked the protestors along with his thugs. As a result, almost 8 people were severely wounded.
Sources have informed that due to the influence, the owners of the housing society got rid of their expensive vehicle from the police station. The accused introduced themselves as senior officers of the intelligence agency and put pressure on the police to release their car immediately.
A protestor had also sent an application to the City Police Station. In his application, he stated that several people have bought plots in the Blue World City and have demanded possession.
However, the management denied it. Later it was found out that the owners of the housing society do not have any NOC from the Rawalpindi Development Authority. In this regard, the victims staged a protest against the Blue World Society.
