At least 10 people were killed on Wednesday after a fire erupted in a tourist vehicle on the Islamabad-Murree Expressway near Khajut.
As per details, a tourist van suddenly overturned at the Khajut area of Murree and caught fire, leading to the death of 10 people, while 13 people are reported to have sustained serious injuries. The injured are being shifted to PIMS Islamabad for medical treatment.
Following the incident, rescue teams and relevant authorities immediately launched relief and rescue operations.
According to a spokesperson for the Motorway Police, the accident occurred on the Murree Expressway, and the resulting fire caused significant loss of life.
The spokesperson said rescue personnel are present at the scene and emergency operations are continuing at full scale.
Relevant agencies are working jointly to move affected individuals to safe locations and bring the situation under control.
Authorities said an investigation has been initiated to determine the cause of the accident.
