RAWALPINDI: Gangs of robbers and dacoits are on the loose in the district as seven incidents of robberies were reported in a single day in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantt police station.
According to details, the district police registered cases against the looters on the complaint of victims but could not make any arrests or recoveries.
A gang of three robbers with arms stormed into the house of a citizen and made the family hostage. The robbers collected eight tolas of gold and cash and fled. A gang of robbers committed a robbery in another house and looted three tola gold and Rs 60,000 cash.
In yet another incident of house robbery, unidentified burglars entered a house by cutting steel grill with a cutter and made off with gold and cash. Similarly, laptops, LCD and other households were mugged by unknown robbers from the house of Humayun in the limit of the same police station.
The armed dacoits also snatched cash, mobile phones, and motorcycle from two persons on gunpoint in two separate incidents in the jurisdiction of Wah Cantt police stations.
