Fans of Bollywood couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan are eagerly waiting to know the name of the newborn son of the couple who announced their baby boy’s arrival on Sunday’s early morning.
About four years ago, when Kareena named her eldest son ‘Timur Ali Khan’, many people criticized her, claiming that the name was inspired by the Turkish invader Timur. Saif Ali Khan, however, refuted all those claims and said that Timur means ‘iron’, as they both wanted their son to become ‘Iron Man’.
Moreover, Saif had an alternate name for his son as in 2018, Kareena had talked about the controversy around Taimur’s name and claimed that Saif wanted to change the name but Kareena, on the other hand, disagreed.

“There was a lot of trolling, but there was also an immense amount of support. Not that the trolls mattered, because the night before I was going to the hospital, Saif asked me, ‘If it’s a boy, are you sure you want to do this? Let’s change the name and call him Faiz. It’s more poetic and romantic.’ And I was like, no. If it’s a boy, I want my son to be a fighter. Taimur means ‘iron’ and I will produce Iron Man. I am proud to name him Taimur,” she had said.
Last year, in their announcement in August, the couple said, “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family!! Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support. — Saif and Kareena.” Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to publish her first pregnancy book – Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible which is set to release in 2021.
