PESHAWAR: Awami National Party (ANP) Chief Asfandyar Wali Khan has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the party’s spokesperson confirmed today (Sunday).
Taking to Twitter, Samar Haroon Bilour, the party’s spokesperson, announced that the party’s chief has contracted the virus as confirmed by his PCR test.
ANP Chief Milli Mashar Asfandyar Wali Khan has tested positive for COVID_19. He has quarantined himself at Wali Bagh Charsadda. Please pray for his speedy recovery.

“The physicians have advised the ANP chief to follow proper protective measures against infections,” she wrote on Twitter, adding that Wali Khan has quarantined himself at Wali Bagh in Charsadda.
The spokesperson also appealed to everyone to pray for the leader’s speedy recovery. “Due to the present situations, the party has decided to call off all scheduled meetings,” she added.
Earlier today, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA from Punjab Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman revealed that he has contracted the coronavirus and isolated himself at his home.
A number of health officials in Punjab are also diagnosed with the coronavirus. CEO District Health Authority Punjab, Dr Muhammad Siddique Mastoi, Incharge Expo Centre Vaccine Centre, MS Wapda Hospital, Dr Aamir Yakoob have also been confirmed with the coronavirus.
