ISLAMABAD: In yet another incident, a minor girl employed as a domestic maid was brutally tortured in Islamabad.
The incident comes weeks after the case of minor girl Rizwana, who was brutally tortured by the wife of a civil judge at their residence in Islamabad. She is still under treatment at a hospital in Lahore.
According to reports, 13-year-old Andaleeb Fatima was tortured by her employer Samira at the house where he was working as a maid.
The girl’s mother Khalida Bibi filed an application at Tarnol police station accusing the girl’s employer of brutally torturing her. She said the girl’s employer locked her daughter in another room when she went to meet her.
Andaleeb said her employer tortured her daily and threatened to kill her if she told anyone. The girl’s mother urged taking strict action against the woman for torturing her daughter.
Police have arrested the woman and presented her in a district and sessions courts in Islamabad.
The case was heard by Judicial Magistrate Khalid Hussain Jatoi. The woman accused of torturing the domestic worker was brought before the court
The investigation officer requested the court to grant physical remand of the accused. The court rejected the plea and sent the accused to jail on judicial remand.
