LAHORE: An Anti-Narcotics Court will announce the reserved verdict of former law minister Rana Sanaullah’s plea in the narcotics case on 8th February.
Rana Sanaullah earlier filed a plea in the ANC in which he pleaded to release his land cruiser vehicle that was seized in the same case during the interrogation.
The counsel of Rana Sanaullah argued in the court that the former law minister acted against several outlawed groups during his designated tenure and having a threat to his life.
He pleaded for the return of the bullet-proof vehicle, which was presented in the custody of the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
ANF counsel while opposing the plea argued that Sanaullah did not express any apprehension about the threat to his life earlier.
Earlier on 8th January, Sanaullah while speaking at the floor of the National Assembly demanded to form a cabinet committee to probe the narcotics case which was filed against him.
During the session, he held the Holy Quran in his hands and claimed, “I’m ready to pass through any process to prove my innocence.”
Sanaullah who was arrested in the narcotic case by ANF on 1st July got released from prison on 26th December 2019 after the Lahore High Court (LHC) grant him bail.
