In Rawalpindi, three monitors have been set up, with one each in Faisalabad and Sheikhupura. Two monitors have been installed in both Gujranwala and Bahawalpur, while one has been added in Sialkot.
The Senior Minister explained that all these monitors are connected to the central control room of the Environment Protection Agency. This modern digital system will also link to the global information network.
“Instead of withholding information, we are setting a new tradition of sharing facts with the public,” she said.
She emphasized that ongoing air quality monitoring is a step toward a permanent solution to the pollution problem.
