ISLAMABAD: The brother of former interior minister Ahsan Iqbal on Tuesday filed a pre-arrest bail plea as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) included him in an investigation involving the beautification of the Rawalpindi / Islamabad Metro Bus line.
On January 21, NAB issued a call-up notice to Mustafa Kamal, the ex-minister’s brother, asking him to appear in the ‘ inquiry against officials/officers of the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA).

Mustafa Kamal and others on allegations of misappropriation, receiving a pecuniary benefit by unfair means and causing losses to the exchequer by practicing substandard horticulture work in Rawalpindi/Islamabad Metro Bus Project.
NAB had asked Kamal to appear at their headquarter on January 28 (Tuesday), but on the same day, he filed a petition at the IHC demanding bail for pre-arrest.
The complainant has taken the stand in the court that he is persecuted for being Iqbal’s brother who is already behind bars over an investigation into the Narowal Sports City scheme.
