Veteran senior Firdous Jamal, whose remarks against Mahira Khan’s age sparked controversy a few years ago, has shared thoughts about various actors in a recent interview.
In a recent talk show, the Pyarey Afzal once again talked about his controversy about Mahira Khan when the host asked the actor if he has changed his thoughts regarding his statement related to Khan. To which he said, “What thoughts?, I have not said anything bad, I said that she should do character roles, she should do characterization.”
“She should do character roles which doesn’t mean that she should become mother, or aunt but she can be a good wife, a good sister, a social worker. For us, heroine is a youthful girl, who is naughty, an immature girl, a happy soul who is moving here and there, jumping with joy, which itself is a wrong concept. Any good character is the real hero or heroine be it mother or some other person of substance,” he said.
When the host showed the actor picture of Osman Khalid Butt and asked him to share his thought, the actor responded, “Who is he?” The host then explained to him who Osman Khalid Butt is.
Upon hearing, Firdous Jamal said, “I must have seen him once or twice, he is the son of Khalid Saeed Butt who wasn’t an actor then how could he be an actor.” He went on to say, “Khalid was a DG at PNCA, he was a very nice man but he was a bad actor, he tried to test his luck as an actor when he was in a government college.”

When the host asked him, “Why is Osman a foe of you, he also has posted hateful tweets for you?” To which Jamal replied, “Every incompetent person is my enemy, now his father could not become an actor how could he be, then he will be my enemy.”
Talking about actor Faysal Qureshi, Jamal said that he is a brilliant actor and a thorough gentleman because he has come through a process and is not the son of any Khalid Saeed Butt.
