Former Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi has advised Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli, that he should give up captaincy in all formats.
Talking to Samaa News Afridi said, “I think he has been a wonderful force for Indian cricket but I think it would be best if he decided to retire as captain in all formats now,” Afridi said. “I have played with Rohit for a year and he is an outstanding player with a top mentality. “
Furthermore, about the qualities of Virat Kohli, Afridi added, “His biggest asset is he can stay relaxed where required and show aggression when it is needed the most.”
Moreover, Shahid Afridi advised that Rohit Sharma had better qualities as a team leader, “He is a top-level player with terrific shot selection and he has the mentality to be a good leader of the players.”
The Pakistani fast bowler was not happy with Shaheen’s performance in the T20 semifinals, he added that Shaheen should have used his pace sensibly in the semifinal of the T20 World Cup 2021.
This statement of Afridi came after Mathew Wade smashed three sixes in Shaheen’s over to fire Australia in the final of the T20 World Cup on Thursday.
