ADDIS ABABA: On Sunday, African leaders condemned the Mideast peace plan of US President Donald Trump as unacceptable, taking advantage of an African Union meeting to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Chairman of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, told invited heads of state that the proposal announced By the U.S President Donald Trump at the end of January was “the complete breach of several resolutions of the United Nations and the African Union.”

He said it was drafted without diplomatic involvement, and it “crushed the interests of the Palestinian people,” a statement that attracted praise at the headquarters of the African Union’s main hall.
The Palestinians, who have decided to boycott President Trump’s administration over its pro-Israel position, also dismissed Trump’s long-delayed peace plans.
Earlier in January, United States President Donald Trump revealed long-awaited details of a US plan to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, cautioning that it may serve the last chance at statehood for the Palestinians.
