KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on social welfare, Syed Aijaz Ali Shah Shirazi, has passed away after suffering from the coronavirus.
Syed Aijaz Ali Shah Shirazi was under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi and was placed on a ventilator since 23rd November where he breathed his last.
He was head of the politically influential Shirazi group belong to Thatta. He served as MPA Sindh Assembly from PS-84 Thatta from 2013-2018 as member of PML-N.
Syed Aijaz Shirazi was the father of a member of the National Assembly (MNA) Ayaz Shah and a member of provincial assembly (MPA) Riaz Shah.
Last month, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA Jam Madad Ali Khan died after he suffered post-coronavirus complications and his arteries ruptured leading to fatal complications.
Earlier on October 15, PPP leader and Special Assistant to CM Sindh on Political Affairs Rashid Rabbani also died from the coronavirus. The family of the PPP leader had confirmed that Rashid Rabbani had died of coronavirus. He was on a ventilator at a private hospital after suffering from severe symptoms of the virus.
