ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Naval Chief Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi in Doha held a meeting with Qatari Prime Minister Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani to discuss matters associated with mutual maritime cooperation.
According to the spokesperson of the Pakistan Navy, the Chief also held separate meetings with the Armed Forces Chief of Staff Lieutenant-General Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem and Commander Qatar Naval Forces Staff Major General (SEA) Abdullah Bin Hassan Al Sulaiti and discussed matters of bilateral concerns with them. The naval chief highlighted Pakistan’s stance on the Kashmir issue as well.
Earlier in February this year, Commander Qatar Emiri Naval Forces met with Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi in Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.
Pakistan Navy can proudly claim that the Chief of Naval Staff of Qatar Emiri Navy and many high ranking officers of Royal Saudi Navy, as well as other navies in the gulf, are graduates of Pakistan Naval Academy.
