LAHORE: An accountability court has directed authorities to freeze properties of the family members of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif.
The verdict was reserved by the accountability court earlier on Tuesday after completion of the arguments of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s special prosecutor.
The accountability court announced its verdict in a case related to freezing properties belonging to Shehbaz Sharif and his family filed by the NAB.
As per the court’s order, properties of Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, Suleman Shehbaz, two wives of Shehbaz including Nusrat Shehbaz and Tehmina Durrani will be frozen.

Moreover, the family members of Shehbaz Sharif has been given 14 days to file objections.
According to the NAB report, the Shehbaz Sharif family accumulated assets of billions of rupees through money laundering.
Last week, the NAB Lahore had frozen the Al-Arabia Sugar Mills in the assets beyond means case in November.

Shehbaz Sharif is currently residing in London with his ailing brother Nawaz Sharif who has been granted a four-week bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on medical grounds.
