KARACHI: A medical board has been constituted and notified to exhume the body of Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain and to perform a post-mortem on June 23.
A six-member medical board headed by police surgeon Dr. Samia has been formed. The medical board also includes Additional Police Surgeon Shahid Nizam, HOD Forensic Medicine Jinnah Pervez Makhdoom.
The six-member medical board will also include forensic experts, Dr. Hari Ram and Dr. Gulzar Ali, while MLO Dr. Areeb Baqai will also be part of the team.
It should be noted that Aamir Liaquat passed away on June 9. A petition was filed by a citizen in the court of Judicial Magistrate East regarding the postmortem of Liaquat. After which the court granted the petition and also issued a written order for a hearing. On the other hand, the family of Aamir Liaquat is against conducting his autopsy.

Following exhumations, some specimens of Liaquat’s body will be taken to the laboratory for chemical examination to ascertain the cause of his death.
Amir Liaquat Hussain passed away on June 9th and his family refused to allow the doctors to conduct an autopsy. But now on orders of the Karachi court, an autopsy will be conducted.
